I want to share a wonderful story that happened to me over the weekend.
A friend of mine named Kim reached out to me last week to order my children’s books for Maci. Maci is the granddaughter of a dear friend of Kim’s named Michelle. She asked if I could autograph the books to “Princess Maci”. Just that request alone brought a smile to my face.
Kim received the books and gave them as a gift to Michelle and Maci. Kim also loaned Michelle my book, Healing Tears, to Michelle. Kim then connected Michelle and I via email.
My husband and I were driving back into town on Sunday, February 6th after a long weekend visiting family and friends. I was catching up on my email and read the most beautiful message to me from Michelle, along with the picture of Maci and her new books. Tears ran down my cheeks as I read the email and my husband asked me if I was alright. I replied, “I just received a great email.” Todd read it when we stopped for lunch and said, “That’s wonderful. It reminds you of why you decided to publish your books, in the hopes to help just one person.”
Michelle gave me permission to share part of her email and the picture of her beautiful granddaughter.
“Reading your book did many things for me. It showed me that no matter what we may be going through, there are others out there that are enduring much worse than we could even imagine and we should be thankful and to remember that God will not bestow upon us more than we can handle and that we have to trust in Him. It also made me stop and really appreciate every second that we have with Maci and not to stress over little things. I have a whole new outlook on things now and I just feel renewed and ready to take whatever comes our way. Honestly, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about your children and you. For someone that has been through something so tragic and lost the most precious things in the entire world and in turn, be able to take that and do something so positive with it.
Your book needs and deserves to be read. It not only tells your story but opens eyes as to warning signs and how important it is to spend as much time with those that mean so much to us and to treasure each moment.”
Michelle, thank you again for the touching message. It arrived at a perfect time for me and reminded me again of why I chose to publish my story. Kim, thank you for the introduction.
Princess Maci, I hope you enjoy reading my books and thank you for the beautiful picture.
I continue to feel blessed in my life and it warms my heart to know that my books either help others or bring joy to children when they read them!
May your lives be filled with love and laughter!
